Tonight I came across the below error message. Honestly I have no idea how to fix, but I wanted to post because I found zero search results and figured somebody else might stumble across the same and could leave a comment with their findings. Overall, the issue seems to be this new patch (KB2878219) will not install because a previous patch (KB2850032) won’t uninstall.
- First noticed when Windows Update kept trying to push the same 1 Import Update repeatedly
- Downloaded the full EXE (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42485) and tried to run the EXE manually
- Was able to “see” the LOG file and error detail below
- Issue remains unresolved so far
